Do you supply everything needed for an event?
We come to your site fully self contained (fencing, animal, cages, water,
hand sanitizer, clean up etc..)
-
Do the animals hurt lawns?
Pony rides generally don't hurt lawns or backyards. The petting zoo will
much some on green grass but they do not uproot or dig this when we leave
you might have a mowed patch where we were but in a few days the grass will
grow again and no damage is done.
-
Will pets from our home bother the zoo animals or
ponies?
We do ask that any dogs be put in the house or garage. If your
neighbors let their dogs out please let them know we are coming and
you would appreciate it if they wouldn't mind keeping Fido in during your
party. This is a safety matter for both animals and children. Some dogs have
never experienced farm type animals and may behave in unexpected ways.
-
What time should I expect someone to arrive at my
event?
Generally we arrive about 30 minutes prior to your requested start time. We
scout out your location (possibly make suggestions) and then set up. It is
helpful if children at the party are occupied somewhere else while we set
up. (i.e. kids are inside playing a game while we set up or we set up in
front yard while children play in the back.). Obviously larger events need
more time and are coordinated individually.
-
Safety?
Our main concern is safety. We want you to have wonderful memories of
your event. We do request that adults be present to help watch their
children. We also want our animals safe and stress free.
-
Can we provide treats for children to feed the
animals?
We pride ourselves on friendly happy animals. They have all been brought up
with us in a loving environment with lots of good food, grass and goodies.
However we discourage treats as this creates negative situations as animals
compete for treats brought by children and unsafe scenarios as small
children put their hands dangerously close to a munching mouth.
-
Do you provide hand sanitizer?
YES!!!! Yes!!! Yes!!! If your event is large and the city requires a hand
washing station we ask that you add that to your port -o - potty rental.
Every city is different and there is no way for us to keep track of them
all.
-
Do you have seatbelts on your saddles?
No. Although opinions vary, should something happen and our pony does get
scared you don't want your child strapped to a 300 to 600 pound animal. Our
insurance does not allow us to for this very reason.
-
Can we walk with or go in with our child?
YES!!! anything to make you and your child comfortable. We know that many
times we are a child's first experience with animals larger than them. We
also know that children can sometimes do better if Fearless Mom or Dad go
with them.
-
Are there any restriction on age?
No not really! Our policy is if you or your child want the experience we
encourage you. We will not force a child to sit on a pony or face a specific
animal but we will encourage them. Very small infants we don't recommend for
pony rides and we do have a weight limit of 75lbs. for our ponies.
